International Trauma Life Support
Target Audience:
Any registered medical professional — doctors, nurses, and EMS staff — who may be expected to assess and manage patients experiencing an acute traumatic event. Both basic and advanced versions are offered.

- Scene safety and triage
- Trauma victim assessment and initial care
- Airway management in trauma
- Shock and haemorrhage control
- Head and spinal trauma
- Chest, abdominal, and extremity trauma
- Burns management
- Trauma in pregnant patients, children, and elderly populations
- Trauma cardiac arrest
Practical Skill Stations:
- Haemorrhage control including tourniquets
- IV and IO access
- Tension pneumothorax decompression
- Spinal motion restriction and patient extrication
- Extremity stabilisation
Assessment and Preparation:
A minimum score of 74% on the written assessment and successful completion of a simulated scenario are required for certification.
