Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Provider
Target Audience:
Available to any healthcare professional who is registered as a Medical or Dental Practitioner, Intern, Junior Intern, Professional Nurse or Advanced Life Support Paramedic. Participants must be in possession of a valid AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider Certificate.
Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Recognise and manage cardiac arrest using systematic, algorithm-based approaches
- Manage respiratory arrest
- Recognise and manage a range of arrhythmias
- Treat ischaemic chest pain and acute coronary syndromes
- Provide stroke care
- Communicate effectively and lead a resuscitation team
Course Structure:
Practical, simulated case-based course with video demonstrations, instructor modelling, and extensive hands-on practice. Participants lead multiple simulated clinical scenarios and receive constructive feedback.
Assessment and Preparation:
Pre-course preparation is compulsory. Participants receive the AHA ACLS Provider Manual and a set of Algorithm Memory Cards. Completion of pre-course preparation must be demonstrated at the start of the Course.
